When you look at the Egino, does it even look like a pen? Where are all those things like the giant cap, clip or the opulent gold-plated decorations? They’re not there. And why? Because they’re useless. The smallest cap we’ve managed to come up with has only a milled edge that prevents rolling and thanks to which you can tell at first touch where the cap is screwed on.
The Egino 3 is equipped with a fast and reliable closure with good old threads. It may not be as sexy as magnets or plastic clicks, but it will still work just as well in 30 years without repair.
As soon as you open the pen, you’ll find that nothing interferes with your grip. It’s so satisfying when you can grab the pen wherever you feel like it, and there are no edges, threads or similar irregularities that get in the way. It’s also perfectly balanced with the center of gravity tilted just right towards the tip. Thanks to this, you will enjoy truly superb control without compromise.
Egino can write with a classic Fine, Medium or Bold nib and as a bonus also with a ballpoint (M). It depends on what suits you best. All filled with a converter or standard size cartridges that you can get in any good stationery store. The nibs come from Germany and are so precise that they write at the slightest touch to the paper.
Qualities of Subfossil oak
The physical properties of subfossil oak are remarkable. The preservation process gives the wood a dark, almost black or deep brown color, with unique patterns that tell the story of its age and origin. The grain of subfossil oak is often denser and more pronounced than that of freshly harvested oak, giving it an added visual appeal. The mineralization process also makes the wood exceptionally strong and resistant to decay, similar to the durability of teak. This strength, combined with its lightness, makes subfossil oak ideal for a range of uses, especially in woodworking and carpentry.
The sustainable use of subfossil oak is an important consideration in its growing popularity. Since the trees have been dead for thousands of years, using subfossil oak does not contribute to deforestation, making it an environmentally responsible choice for those seeking a rare, eco-friendly material. Furthermore, its longevity and resistance to decay ensure that any products made from subfossil oak can last for generations, adding to the appeal of this unique wood.
Symbolism of Subfossil oak
Symbolically, subfossil oak carries a deep connection to the past and is often seen as a symbol of endurance, longevity, and history. It is a reminder of the passage of time and the continuity of nature, as the oak tree has stood the test of time through centuries or even millennia. In many cultures, oak has been associated with wisdom, strength, and resilience, and subfossil oak, with its ancient roots, carries these same meanings, often adding a layer of mystery and reverence. The fact that the wood has survived for such a long period imbues it with a sense of timelessness, making it a treasured material for both practical and symbolic purposes.
