Nothing will disturb you
We’ve made Egino 4 even simpler and lighter than version three. The lid has been made smaller and the wood can stand out in all its glory thanks to the removal of the top screw. When open, the pen is completely smooth, allowing you to grip it at any height. At the same time, it is better balanced towards the tip and, thanks to the precision threaded closure, resists drying out for weeks.
Choose from two lids
The caps are a real novelty at Egin 4. You have a choice of two variants. If you choose the round cap variant, you get the most minimalist version of the pen that exists. It’s as pure as the word of God and noticeably cheaper. If you choose the cap with an edge, you won’t have the pen rolling around on uneven surfaces thanks to the clasp quote and you’ll be able to enjoy this typical Kayu detail.
Touch the wood
Egino 4 is coated with eco-friendly water-based wax oil. The wood is thus not enclosed under a thick layer of catong and yet is sufficiently protected. Every time you grasp your Kayu, you feel the touch of nature. At the same time, the surface can also be sanded and re-waxed at any time and your pen can look like new again.
Enjoy the balance
Egino 4 also brings with it another novelty. The cap does not screw onto the opposite end of the pen. This may seem like a disadvantage, but know that you will come to love it. The balance of the pen is constant and you will enjoy maximum control and precision. At the same time, the wood could have been given more space, which on the one hand lightened the pen and we also wanted to bring back the unique detail of the end-grain. Beautiful!
You can rely on the nib
The nib is the heart of every pen. That’s why we use high-quality nibs from German manufacturers. Standard thicknesses EF, F, M and B are available in polished stainless steel or gold-plated stainless steel finishes. You can also choose between bomb or converter filling.

According to the wood used
A pen with one bomb weighs about 21 g. The cap itself weighs 6.3 - 6.6 g, depending on the chosen shape.
Filling
With all Kayu Egino pens, you can choose whether you want to fill the pen with a ballpoint or suck ink from the inkwell with a converter.
Nibs
We use the excellent German Schmidt tips in EF, F, M and B thicknesses and steel, gold-plated steel finishes. But there are more options if you are interested. Please contact us.
Engraving
For an additional fee of CZK 480, we are able to provide the pen with a monogram or text according to your requirements.
